Mendoza Shines at Pro Day
Fernando Mendoza's Pro Day at Indiana's Mellencamp Pavillon was impressive, with all 32 NFL franchises represented. Mendoza, a Heisman Trophy winner and projected No. 1 NFL Draft pick, prepared silently before putting on a show. He wore a white T-shirt with "Mendoza" on the back.
Mendoza demonstrated excellent footwork and connected with receivers on various routes, including multiple long throws to E.J. Williams, one listed at 65 yards. He called out the receiver by name and the route during the throws to his Indiana receivers who are NFL Draft prospects.
Mendoza has spoken with the Las Vegas Raiders, who hold the No. 1 pick, twice and was scheduled to do so again after his pro day. He is focused on being the best version of himself for whichever team drafts him.
