Florida fell to Ole Miss 6-4. This is despite the fact that the Rebels' offense has struggled. They only managed six total runs in three games against Mississippi State last weekend.

Peterson's Struggles

Liam Peterson, once projected as a potential top 10, even first overall, pick in the MLB Draft, had another short outing. Through two innings, his pitch count was already at 45. In the third, Peterson surrendered three runs. These were the result of back-to-back leadoff walks, a RBI double and a single.

By the time he recorded the second out in the fourth, his pitch count was at 87. Coach Kevin O'Sullivan removed him from the game. Peterson pitched 3.2 innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs. He walked three and struck out seven.

Ole Miss took advantage of 10 Florida free passes and scored three of its six runs from them.
