Smith Snowden, fresh off a Second Team All-Big 12 season in 2025, envisions a specific role for himself with the Wolverines.
A Versatile Background
During his time at Utah, the Lehi, Utah, native showcased his abilities on both sides of the ball. He started all 13 games on defense, racking up 37 tackles (2.0 for loss), 11 pass breakups, and two interceptions as the leader of the cornerback room. Snowden also started two games on offense and contributed in the kick return game.
Focusing on Defense
Despite playing 79 offensive snaps and starting two games on offense last season, Snowden expects to focus on defense at Michigan. He mentioned that his offensive role at Utah was a decision made in collaboration with his coach to benefit the team. Snowden brings experience at both outside corner and nickel, and he anticipates the coaching staff will find the best fit for him to contribute on the field.
